Principal’s Update #1 Term 4

Dear KPS Families,

We are moving quickly through Term 4, and the energy across the school is fantastic! There are some exciting updates to share with you, so let’s dive in:

Kindy Orientation Begins! We were thrilled to welcome the first group of our 2025 Kindy students this week! The Cockatoo group had an amazing time exploring Kelmscott Primary School, spending an hour with us, and participating in fun activities. Meanwhile, their parents listened to an informative talk about what to expect in the coming years. Next week, we are excited to greet the Possum group for their orientation. Welcome to the KPS family, future Kindy students!

Planning Ahead – Leaving KPS in 2025? If your family is planning to leave Kelmscott Primary School next year and enroll elsewhere, please let our office know as soon as possible. This information is vital to assist us in planning for our 2026 school year, ensuring we can make the necessary arrangements for class structures and resources.

Car Parking Fundraiser A massive thank you to our P&C and the amazing volunteers who helped with the Car Parking Fundraiser! Their efforts raised an incredible $4,000 for the school. This was a fantastic achievement, and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. Thank you for supporting our school!

School Photos Last week, our school photos were taken, and it was wonderful to see all of our students looking so proud in their school uniforms! A big thank you to the parents and carers for ensuring the children were well-prepared for their special day. We can’t wait to see the finished photos!

Year 6 Cake Stall A round of applause to our Year 6 students who ran a successful cake stall, raising $862.70! It was a fantastic effort by the students, who worked hard to contribute to their graduation activities. Well done to everyone who participated and supported this fundraiser.

Basketball Competition Success Our basketball teams have been hard at work, and we are proud to share the success they’ve achieved. A huge thank you to Mr Grace for his dedication as a coach, guiding our players through the competition with fantastic results. The students have shown great teamwork and sportsmanship, representing Kelmscott Primary School with pride. Well done to all involved!

Until next time, keep learning and exploring!
